Dear Erickson Families,

We are having an AWESOME first day of school! Smiles are everywhere!

Tomorrow, Friday, August 26th is our PTO Picnic in the Park event from 5:30-7:00 (see flyer below). Families can pop on over to enjoy a popsicle, socialize, and play at the many Erickson parks. Students can bring footballs, soccer balls, etc. if they would like to organize games in the fields. Can't wait to see you there!

Please expect buses to run a little late for the first few weeks of school as drivers are learning students' names and bus stop locations. I will be riding each bus home at dismissal, over the next few weeks, to learn routes. It is recommended to be at the bus stop 10 minutes before the expected arrival time. If you have any questions about the bus, please fill out the form below. Bus routes are created by the bus company. Every student is routed who lives more than 1.5 miles from school. If you do NOT want the bus service because you pick up and drop off everyday, please fill out the same form below to decline bus service. August 25-26: Kindergarten Assessment - Kindergarten Families should call the office 630-529-2223 to schedule a time for Aug. 25-26.

August 26: Popsicles in the Park 5:30-7:00pm (PTO event)

August 29th: FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL - Preschool (AM-8:50-11:20 or PM-12:50-3:20) & Kindergarten (AM-8:40-11:30) or (PM-12:40-3:30)

August 31: Bus Expectations presentations during the school day in the gym for students in grades K-5 who ride the bus. We will send home information to review with bus riders at home.

September 2: SOAR ASSEMBLY during the school day for grades K-5- students. Students will learn about our NEW SOAR behavior wide expectations. Ask your child about SOAR!

September 5: Labor Day No School

September 15th: CURRICULUM NIGHT- SAVE THE DATE

The first full day of school is Thursday August 25th, for students in first - fifth grade. Kindergarten & Preschool students start school on Monday, August 29th. Students may arrive between 8:25-8:40. Classes begin at 8:40.

Grades 1st-5th: 8:40-3:30

Kindergarten AM: 8:40-11:30

Kindergarten PM: 12:40-3:30

Preschool AM: 8:50-11:20

Preschool PM: 12:50-3:20

1st, 2nd & 3rd Grade Lunch: 12:00-12:25

4th-5th Grade Lunch: 12:25-12:50

Dropping off lunches from restaurants (ie- McDonald's, Wendy's, Panera, etc.) as well as using food delivery services to drop off food (ie -GrubHub, Door Dash) is not allowed. Students should bring their lunch in the morning to school each day. Safety is our number one priority and we would like to limit visitors.

Arrival & Dismissal Procedures: Click here to learn about arrival and dismissal procedures for the 2022-2023 school year. Families should utilize the side parking lot for pick-up and drop-off. The front parking lot is designated for buses only. Morning arrival is between 8:25am-8:40am. Staff begin to supervise students at 8:25 am. Grades K and 4-5 will enter through the front doors. Grades 1-3 will enter through the side of the building. Students will begin to enter the school at 8:35 and go directly to their classrooms. School beings at 8:40.
