This is the looking forward to time
Wow, just wow, where have these thirty seven school weeks of 2019 gone? Over the year there have been many highlights, lows, learnings and celebration within our teaching and learning opportunities here at IPS. We are grateful each and every day of our diverse community of BoT, Staff, Students and whanau as we know the collective strength and sense of community holds us together as a team within the wider community of Inglewood.
Our Mission Statement at IPS is Learning to think , to do, to be. Ako ki te whakaaro, ako ki te mahi, ako kia ora ai te mauri.
Our Mission is shared as signage at our entrance way, throughout each classroom and our documentation. Our Mission is very important to us all here at IPS as it links closely with the New Zealand Curriculum, Te Whaariki, Positive Behaviour for Learning, Tataiako, Kahikitia and other guiding documents we have.
Our Mission provides us strength to work towards our Vision, which is “to provide a teaching and learning environment where of those involved: demonstrate respect, expect the best, achieve through opportunity, communicate actively & feel safe and happy.”.
This statement in short are our REACH values, which we also hold dear and work hard at each and every day to model and achieve. We are conscious we have enrolled many new students and families this year and for some of you these two guiding statement will be new, so we will highlight more of this this information within the newsletters for 2020.
We take this time to thank all parents and members of our community who positively support our school, BoT, Staff, Parent Link and Students. "Positive People achieve Positive Results" We value our shared pride in all wee do and thank those of you who continue to advocate for our school and wider community.
We welcome Ms Ashleigh Blackwell

School Involvement and Achievements for 2019
As we come to the end of the year we like to ensure we have all the details of your child’s achievements over the year. If your child has competed at national level in any sporting or cultural field, we want to know. This is especially important when considering nominations for awards. We cannot act if we do not know. Send a list of your child’s achievements to the office, including the grade or placing, the date/s and the event or competition. Or email office@inglewood.school.nz. Thank you.
