BSD Math Placement Testing for 5th Grade Families
About 9 out of 10 BSD students will be enrolled in “Math 6/7” for math next year. If you would like your student evaluated to determine whether “Math 7/8" or “Alg/Geo/Stats 1” would be appropriate instead, please see the BSD Math Placement Testing site to request testing by May 5th.
All testing will take place in May at your student’s school during their school day. There will be no testing for current students after May.

Is your Go Home plan changing?
This way the office is in the loop and if your student's teacher is out of the building, your student will be directed to the correct location to go home.
Thank you for your help!
Science Fair
It has been a busy and eventful couple of weeks. Our Science Fair was a huge success! We had 218 kids who did science projects and a lot more who came to Science Fair night It is awesome to see what our kids can achieve when given the opportunity. Cash certificates which could be used at Findley Book Fair were given to 50 lucky students who entered the drawing on Science Fair Night.
Thanks to Dr. Marsh, Mrs. Hargrave, and Mrs. Goldammer for supporting the committee in many different ways. Thanks to class teachers who encouraged students to participate. Thanks to our awesome Sunset HS volunteers for helping the committee set up and clean up the fair. Last but not the least, thanks to all the exhibitors and parent volunteers for stirring excitement and love for science within the students in our school.
Have a great spring break
Lost & Found is Overflowing!😱
Student Survey Window: April 4-June 8
Student Survey
Each year the District surveys students and staff to gather information for planning, program evaluation, and assessment of progress on the District's Strategic Plan.
Student surveys of middle and high schools included three optional questions for students to identify their gender, ethnicity / race, and sexual orientation. These questions allow for additional levels of analysis of questions on inclusion, safety and bullying.
The student survey takes about 20 minutes during the regular school day. The data gathered from the survey are anonymous; your child will not put his/her name or other identifying information on the survey. Like other surveys, results will be presented only about groups. No individual data will be reported.
Your child may skip questions or stop filling out the survey at any time. Refusing to participate or withdrawing from the survey does not affect your child's grades or class standing in any way. If you or your child does not want to participate, your child can read or do some other activity while his or her classmates complete the survey.
A copy of the survey is available from your child's school and is posted at https://www.beaverton.k12.or.us/departments/teaching-learning/accountability/research-reports
