A Few Words from the Principal
Many children for numerous years grew up with or watched Mr. Rodgers. He brought his message of kindness, community, and acceptance to us from his neighborhood. Many of our student's today have not had the opportunity to hear these messages from Mr. Fred Rogers.
Regardless of if you have or haven't watched Mr. Rodgers his words provide us great wisdom and guidance for now and the future,
“There are three ways to ultimate success:
The first way is to be kind. The second way is to be kind. The third way is to be kind.” Fred Rogers
Parents, please take some time to talk with your student about what this looks like, feels like, and sounds like.
As we approach World Kindness Day, let's fill the halls of MT with happiness and gratitude - every day.
Take care,
Jennifer Smith
Principal
If your student shares with you that they are being bullied, please reach out to us here at MTMS or complete the online reporting form:

November 10 Veteran's Day Recognition
We ask that 6th grade wears red, 7th grade wears white, and 8th grade wears blue.
The schedule below provides more information about the day.
Cold Weather Is Here
If the "feels like" temperature falls below 20 the school is open for students who are dropped off before 7:35am. If the temperature remains above 20 degrees the school will open at 7:35am.
Please encourage students to dress appropriately for the cold weather.
Also, keep in mind that as the weather gets colder fewer students will be walking and riding their bikes to school. This means more students being dropped off in the car loop. You may need to leave a few minutes earlier to get to school on time.
Boys Informational Basketball Meeting
On Monday, November 6th, during ELT in the Activity Center, Coach Wurtz will meet with any 7th or 8th grade boy interested in trying out for boys basketball this year. Please look for information to come home with your student after the November 6th meeting.
If your student is unable to make it to the meeting, please reference the boys basketball website for the information.
Tryouts will start Monday, December 4th.
