Elementary and middle school students are welcome spectators to high school athletic events in Newton County School System, as respectful partnerships among students, staff, parents, and the community are integral to student success. Yet, we must take precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of all students, which remains the district’s highest priority.
As an added measure of security, spectators will not be permitted to bring bookbags or large bags into athletic events. Small clutch bags, with or without a handle or strap, that do not exceed 4.5" X 6.5" are acceptable. As a reminder, students under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
