Chromebooks Arrive for Hockinson 5th Graders
Due to unprecedented worldwide demand, the delivery of over 160 Chromebooks for Hockinson 5th graders was postponed by many months while supply chains recovered. But it was worth the wait! These devices benefit our fifth grade students in a number of ways.
- Given the current half-day elementary learning format, providing students with Chromebooks enables us to extend the day's in-person instruction by completing independent work at home.
- Additionally, introducing fifth grade students to technology like Chromebooks will support a more seamless transition to middle school, which is also Chromebook-based. This familiarity will continue to pay off in high school and, if students elect, Hockinson Virtual Academy.
