PSAT
- Eat breakfast!
- Bring a calculator if you have one! (Does NOT have to be a graphing one.)
- Watch the clock so you don't run out of time.
- Don't leave any questions blank! (no points deducted for incorrect responses)
- Do your best!
NEW program at ASHP - Earn Community Service Hours at home or school!
Here's how it works:
- Feeder librarians are sending picture and chapter books to the Academy office.
- ASHP students will "check out a book" from the Academy office and pick up instructions for creating the audio/video book.
- ASHP students will record themselves reading chapter books to create an audio version.
- ASHP students will create a PowerPoint of the scanned pages of the picture books, and then record themselves reading the book aloud on zoom with the pictures as the virtual background to create a video read-aloud!
- These recordings will be uploaded to a google drive.
- A QR code will be created and attached to the book when it's returned to the elementary library.
Elementary students will then be able to check out books from their library and have an Academy student READ the book to/along with them!
We know that reading is fundamental to success, and are committed to promoting reading as we give back to our community!
See Mr. Kelly for details!
NEED HELP! Calling all parent-planners!!
I need parents who are willing to plan some social events for our students. Movie nights in the LGI? Board game party? Video game party? Other ideas?
I can provide the funding for refreshments, pizza, snacks, drinks, etc.... I just need some parents who are party planners!
Please email Mr. Kelly if you are interested in helping plan some fun! Also let me know if you would be willing to lead this group of parents. I will collect all the info and send it to someone who is willing to take the lead.
Thank you all!!!
Meet Ms. Brabson
After graduation, I worked for Goodman Manufacturing designing cased evaporator coils for residential split air conditioning systems. While engineering is a great profession, I did not feel fulfilled as an engineer, so I decided to leave my engineering job, obtain my teaching certificate, and become a teacher.
This is my second year teaching, and I love it!
For fun, I enjoy reading, playing guitar, playing with my dog (Paisley), and riding my horse (Duke).
