SHARK SHOUTOUTS
En route to MRHS the Wednesday before April break, I fell and injured myself. I made my way to work and started to hobble into the building. I want to thank Jack Lavallee who saw me and helped me get to the nurse's office. THANK YOU JACK! I also want to thank Nicole Camp who noticed my distress and went to get help. THANK YOU MS. CAMP! I also appreciate so much Principal Police who came to my side on the recovery couch and stayed with me until the nurse was able to get to me. THANK YOU MS. POLICE! Super thanks to Nurse Dufault who then bandaged my scrapes and bruises, iced and wrapped my foot, and drove me to the ER! THANK YOU, NURSE DUFAULT! And a thank you to Troy Olson who helped me into the Nurse's car. THANK YOU TROY! It surely takes a village... thanks for being mine! -Mrs. Janet Ferro
The Guidance Team would like to thank all of the Administrative Assistants across the district for all of their help, hard work, and assistance throughout the year! We could not do our jobs without you all! -The Guidance Team

Every Thursday from now until the end of July, AudioFile Magazine is giving away a thematic pair of audiobooks to everyone who signs up for the program. Visit the 2021 SYNC Audiobooks page on the library website to find out how to participate.
This week's theme is, "After Crossing the Border.” This thematic pair includes Come On In, a collection of 15 #ownvoices short stories about the realities of immigration. Each story was written by a young adult author who is either an immigrant or the child of one. Illegal by Francisco X. Stork is the second half of this week’s pair. This book continues the journey from Stork’s book Disappeared and tells the story of what happens to the characters after they escape from a Mexican drug cartel and seek asylum in the United States.
Both books have a 35,999 day check out, but they do need to be checked out by May 5th.

APRIL Scholar Athletes
Jasmine Silva
This was Jazz's first year cheering and she became an amazing back spot and base. She was always on time and at all the practices giving one hundred percent. She bonded with all the girls and was a significant part of the team. Jazz was the Ice Hockey Goaltender and volunteer coach for the Cape Cod Waves. She is a member of the Monomoy Global Studies Program, STEMinist Club, and National Honor Society. Her plans are to study public health and biology on a premedical track. We were so happy that she was able to cheer for Monomoy.
