We now have one full week of school under our belts. Teachers and students have been reacclimated to the business of school. One of the district focuses for this school year is attendance. All research equates good attendance with high achievement, which means the inverse is also true, poor attendance is equated with low achievement. Simply put we need students in school EVERYDAY! If there is a legitimate reason for your child to be absent please communicate with us.
We will begin RI/MI assessments this week (Tuesday-RI, Wednesday-MI, Thursday-makeups) to gather our baseline data for the 2022-2023 school year. Parents, please encourage your child to give their best effort. Please be sure your child gets a good night's sleep and a solid breakfast.

Moore Street School is in need of a parent and business partner representative on our Local School Governance Team. This is a great opportunity to provide valuable input into what takes please at MSS. Beginning August 23rd through September 1st nominations will be accepted. Votes will be cast Friday September 2, 2022. More information will be forthcoming concerning this awesome opportunity.
Our school hours are from 7:30 a.m.-2:10 p.m. Our evening school hours are 2:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. Monday -Thursday. Please review the dress code with you son/daughter. As a reminder feel free to contact the school at (478) 353-8400 with any questions or concerns.
