Dual Enroll While at Tustin Connect!
Interview: Abby Spurgeon
Abigail Spurgeon is currently dual-enrolled at Tustin Connect and Foothill High School. She takes all of her academic classes through Tustin Connect and takes Choir at Foothill. When she was in eighth grade, she saw the show that Foothill choir puts on each year and decided that she wanted to be a part of the program. It was important for her to be able to stay in the choral program even though she was switching from Foothill to Tustin Connect. Abby said that switching was a smooth process for her because she wanted more personal support in her classes. Tustin Connect was a great option which helped her feel more comfortable because of the small class sizes. Abby believes dual enrollment is a great fit because she has been able to go to one class per day and still benefit from the flexibility of Tustin Connect. However, she definitely felt there was an adjustment period in terms of her schedule and time management. She absolutely adores this unique possibility. Abby would recommend dual enrollment for other students looking for an alternative option for students who want a different arrangement than a standard classroom while still being able to be involved in extracurricular activities.
