Paradise Elementary is once again proud to partner with the American Heart Association through their Kids Heart Challenge program. We have set our school goal at $8,000. You may have heard already from your learners, but when we meet our goal, our principal, Mr. Esche, will wear a tutu for the day. In addition to our school goal and personal rewards that your child can earn, we have the opportunity to earn some great rewards for our school.

We have a Kids Heart Challenge Update:

Paradise Elementary has raised $4,606.66 for the American Heart Association so far! We are over half way to our goal! Excellent work team!

The top fundraiser so far is Aara McCracken raising $520.53. Awesome job! Aria Lynch, Hannah Schatzmann, Paige Schucker, and Micah Himmelberger are close behind raising over $200 each.

I am also Paradise Proud that 11 learners have completed Finn’s Mission. Look for your name in the gym on the wall of fame! Keep up the great work Paradise!

Once half the students in our school sign up and choose their challenge on our Kids Heart Challenge webpage or app and our school reaches the first $500 in life saving donations to help the mission of the AHA…our school will earn an EXTRA $500 to shop for wellness and PE equipment for our school.

Our new BRAVES Character Trait for the month of February is Attitude. Attitude is what we think about something or someone. It often shapes how we react to the things that happen to us. The great thing is that your attitude is your choice. You can't change what happens to you, but you can choose how to react. Paradise Elementary, we are excited to continue building a Paradise Proud Attitude!

We are hiring paraprofessionals through the Substitute Teacher Service (STS) to work at Paradise Elementary.

- Instructional Paraprofessional: Work in classrooms alongside our learning facilitators to run small groups (training provided).

- Building Paraprofessional: Help to monitor learners during lunch and recess while also assisting learning facilitators in preparation of their resources.

Essential qualities - kind, patient, team oriented, and loves to work with kids!
