BUILDING HIGHLIGHTS
OMS Plays Game of Life
$165.25 to rent an apartment, $185.25 to attend college, $201.48 to go white water rafting, $198.82 for a new cell phone. Finally, it’s payday - deposit $180.
OMS fifth graders played the Game of Life this week to review adding and subtracting decimal numbers before they tested over it. Students also got to dress up as their future career. There were doctors, astronauts, police K-9 unit, artists and more! Students had so much fun using what they learned in math in “real life.”
Fall Fun
In honor of the first day of fall last week, high school students in Child Development 1 taught lessons to Tiger Paw students about leaves, pumpkins, acorns, apples and even foxes!
Fall fun filled the air as our littles were inspired by our high schoolers, and our high schoolers got some good hands-on experience!
Grateful for Grandparents & Grandfriends!
Last week, South Elementary welcomed more than 500 Grandparents & Grandfriends into the building. We love seeing how excited these kiddos get to show off their school and classroom! It takes a village … and we are thankful for Grandparents & Grandfriends!
TIGER TUESDAY
Ozark is excited to celebrate our support staff on the fourth Tuesday of each month for Tiger Tuesday!
This week we recognized Ryan Todd, custodial coordinator at North Elementary. Ryan has been with Ozark schools for just over four years. He began as an evening custodian at North and has also worked at the High School and recently helped to open the OIC facility as a split shift day/evening custodian. Ryan is caring and supportive and is a servant leader. He will be a kind and positive impact on the students and staff of North Elementary.
