AP Photography Field Trip
AP Photography students spent Thursday, April 6th at the Huntington Gardens. They visited the Japanese and Chinese gardens as flowers are in full bloom due to the recent rain. Both gardens feature ponds filled with koi fish, ducks, geese, and turtles for students to photograph. The unique architecture created stunning photo opportunities. Students also explored the Australian and desert gardens, photographing the various unique shapes and colors that nature provides. Some students took a break from the outside with a trip to the art museum after lunch. The Huntington Art Museum displays beautiful works of both 2D and 3D art from various cultures around the world.
Athletics Showcase for Incoming Students
Our Athletics team will be visiting Ybarra and Alvarado on May 1st as well as hosting an Athletics Showcase Night. We will be informing parents about the transportation fee, fare share donation, athletic clearances, and eligibility. Once the presentation is over, parents and athletes will have the opportunity to meet head coaches and current student athletes in their sport of interest.
Physics Carnival
The RHS Physics students collaborated with Maker's Space to host a Physics Carnival for the 3rd and 4th grade students from Killian. In order to prepare for the event, the physics students built different carnival games which included operation, trivia, mini golf, and much more. The physics students used their knowledge about simple circuits to power up their homemade games. Both the elementary and high school students enjoyed the event.
