Dear PO families,

I want to remind everyone that our doors open at 8:15 AM, regardless of the weather. At that time, we have adults at all entries and stationed in the hallways and stairs, supervising a safe start to the day. Having 700 students in the building without adequate supervision would be unsafe, so we do not open the doors earlier, even in bad weather. We appreciate your understanding.

When you come to the school, please identify yourself and tell us the reason for your visit. If you forget, we will ask before buzzing you in.

Today, we had a fire drill with our goal time for evacuation being 3 min, and we got everyone out safely under that time, in 2 min 40 seconds.

Quiero recordarles a todos que nuestras puertas abren a las 8:15 AM, independientemente del clima. Please know that your students safety is extremely important to us! We ask that students, without an adult parent/guardian, avoid arriving before the school opens at 8:15 each morning. There are no supervisors outside until that time.

The playground is off limits to all students without a parent/guardian before and/or after school each day. If your student walks home from school, please remind them of this expectation for the safety of all. Thank you for your continued support.

¡Sepa que la seguridad de sus estudiantes es extremadamente importante para nosotros! Les pedimos a los estudiantes, sin un padre/tutor adulto, que eviten llegar antes de que la escuela abra a las 8:15 cada mañana. No hay supervisores afuera hasta ese momento.
