Creatify Club at RIT
Creatify Club is filled- we have 32 students; so exciting! Watch for more information coming soon including a permission slip, transportation information and an amazing schedule of projects we will be working on at RIT! All sessions will be at RIT from 3:30-5:30 beginning Monday, January 27th.
Crewnecks are back!
With the current window project going on, some areas of the building are a little colder than usual. The BK Logo crewnecks may be worn with a polo underneath during the cold weather season.
End of the Marking Period/Semester Info
Q2 Ends January 29th
Monday January 27th is an AB Day- Midterm Makeup Day.
Tuesday January 28th is a B Day in the building.
Wednesday is a day off for students- teachers should report at 9:00am.
Q3 Begins Thursday, January 30th with an A Day.
Students should check their schedules for any 2nd semester changes to electives and lunch periods. We will return to the AB rotation days beginning January 30th. Monday will still be an A/B Day
- The Infinite Campus portal will be closed from January 29th-February 10th @ 3:00pm.
- Q2 Report Cards are posted February 10th by 3:00pm
National Honor Society Information
- NHS Invitations to apply go home February 13th to students with a qualifying grade point average of 90 or above. They are due back by February 25th. The ceremony will take place on March 4th from 6-7pm.
- NJHS Invitations to apply will be sent on March 5th and due back by March 20th. The induction ceremony will take place on April 8th from 6-7pm.
- Current NJHS members need to reapply for NHS.
- New students who were previously inducted to NHS or NJHS at their old school should reach out to Mr. Martell @ zmartell@bkhs.org.

- Book Club will be viewing the (apparently laughingly horrible) film adaptation of Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 on Monday and Tuesday from 2:50 to 3:25 in room B215. Feel free to bring novel-themed snacks. Think red hots, etc 🙂

- Horticulture is going on their final field trip for the semester today to GVRMA. Students are NOT dressed down, but will need to dress for being outside for a period of time (traveling from one location to another)

Foreign Film Club's - Foreign Film Friday (Friday, Jan. 17)
Join the Foreign Film Club on Friday, January 17th for the return of Foreign Film Fridays. This month we will be screening the French film, "The Intouchables." It is a film inspired by the real-life story of Phillipe Pozzo di Borgo a French businessman who developed an unlikely friendship with his caretaker after being paralyzed in an accident. An award-winning film, the story is sure to make you laugh. Students in grades 9-12 are invited to room A-203 on Friday the 17th. The movie will start promptly at 3:00. French snacks will be served! Please RSVP to Amarie Hargrove or Ms. Bowser so we know how many people to expect.

Exciting News- Refer a Family- Lower your Tuition!
A new admissions referral program which will allow currently enrolled BK families to be eligible to receive a discount of up to $1000 if they refer a student to BK - currently employed BK faculty and staff can receive $500. Restrictions will apply- check the website for more details beginning December 5.

Save on Tuition- Volunteer at BINGO!
Bingo is played Wednesday, Saturday am, Saturday pm and Sunday. You can earn 30% off tuition when "volunteering" one day per week for a year. This also requires a year commitment for 1 day per week. Bingo is open all year and does not follow the school year calendar. Anyone 18+ may work on behalf of the student. The tuition stipend is credited to the student's account in the following month.
