NMS Book Challenge
2018-2019
What is the NMS Book Challenge?
Each year NMS students are encouraged to read books from a list of selected titles for our Book Challenge. The Book Challenge selections represent a wide-range of genres and interests. Students are asked to read at least ten books during the school year, eight of which must come from the list and two two which can be books of their own choice. Upon completion of a book, students should fill out a Book Challenge form which will track their progress. Students who read ten or more books will be invited to participate in an end of the school year celebration.
Sixteen of the titles in our Book Challenge are titles which are part of a nation-wide March Book Madness list of middle-grade titles.
All titles for the challenge are listed below. To read a professional review of the book, click on the link underneath the image. If you have questions or comments please contact Mrs. Kinsman at;

Book pairings will be announced in March and voting will begin at that time. The theme of this year's March Book Madness is "The Characters' Journey." Titles from the middle grade bracket are listed below. For more information; please visit http://marchbookmadness.weebly.com/ or contact Mrs. Whitt.
