Reminder: NO SCHOOL or ADVENTURETIME on Monday (1/17) - MLK Day

  • Monday, January 17: No school and no Adventuretime in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The UCSD Administration Office is also closed. This national holiday is often referred to as the “MLK Day of Service” as people of all ages join in acts of kindness through service to others. We hope you and your family find meaningful ways to use your day off as a day of service in support of family, friends, and/or community.
  • Tuesday, January 18: School resumes for all UCSD students.

PTO Dine to Donate at Panera on Tuesday January 18th from 4-8pm!

Come join us for dinner at the Panera (2839 NW 86th St, Urbandale) on Tuesday. Show your cashier the flyer or a digit version (Valerius Facebook or Website) to ensure Valerius PTO receives a portion of the profits. You can order online as well using the code PRFUND at checkout.

Winter Band Morning Rehearsal and Evening Concert on Thursday, January 20th!

  • 7:45-8:45 a.m. KA, Valerius, and Webster Combined Band Rehearsal at UHS

    **A Bus will bring students from UHS to Valerius at 8:45am

  • 7:30 p.m. KA, Valerius, and Webster Winter Band Concert at UHS PAC

    *Students need to arrive at the high school at 7:15pm and report to the commons.

    **Students will not need to bring their music stand to the concert, but will need all other band materials (instrument or mallets, music, mask, etc)


    Concert Dress: Students need to dress in their “dress up” clothes for the concert.

    Dresses or skirts, and/or dress pants and a shirt with collar are recommended.

PTO Cookie Dough Fundraiser!

Our Valerius PTO is doing a Cookie Dough Fundraiser. Funds raised will help purchase classroom materials and support the work of the Valerius PTO. Flyers were sent home last week.

2022-23 Preschool & Kindergarten Pre-Registration Opens February 1, 2022

Save the Date! Kindergarten Pre-Registration for the 2022-2023 school year will begin online on February 1, 2022. We’ll share more information here once Kindergarten Pre-Registration opens.


*Valeirus does not have a preschool program but click HERE for other locations in UCSD and more information.

Visitor Reminders

Just a few reminders as we welcome visitors back into the building. All visitors must wear a face mask regardless of vaccination status or exemptions. Also, all visitors must check into the main office to sign in and to be escorted to the classroom. Please call the main office if you have any questions.
