Principal's Message
Greetings Springwater Students and Families,
Yesterday felt like summer! Speaking of summer, we only have 11 weeks left of the school year (and that includes Finals Week). Our sophomores were able to take the first STHS field trip in over 2 years this week. They headed over to the Center For Advanced Learning (CAL) to visit their programs and decide whether they would like to enroll next year. The students did great and we look forward to more field trips in the future.
Student leadership is in the midst of planning for our junior senior prom which will occur on Friday, April 22nd at the Troutdale House. Tickets to prom will go on sale Monday. The theme of prom this year is Enchanted Masquerade.
We have 2 weeks left of the grading period. 12-week progress grades (the last progress grades before final grades) will be entered on April 22nd. Hang in there everyone! Summer is not too far off!

April Spotlight Students
Alex Hryciw
Grade: 9
Interests: I’m really interested in fossils, as well as biology. I really enjoy learning about animals.
Favorite subject in school: Science. I’ve always been a fan of science. I just like learning about things in general.
Favorite thing about STHS: It’s nice not having to wait for 20 minutes to get to your locker or even need to use a locker. At West Orient, whenever school was over, you’d have to stand there and wait for the crowd to disappear around your locker because there were so many people. You’d have to wait forever to get anything.
Angie Lopez-Salazar
Grade: 10
Interests: I like to take care of little kids, for example, my cousin. And I like to spend time with my little sisters.
Favorite subject in school: I like PE because I like to do active things and different, fun things I haven’t done before.
Favorite thing about STHS: That all the teachers are helpful. When you need something, they can help you.
Jamita Jackson
Grade: 11
Interests: I like drawing. I do like writing. I like watching animal stuff. I love animals.
Favorite subject in school: English, definitely. I like Ms. Weber and Ramsey. They make learning literature stuff fun. I also like how reading and writing lets you go to another world.
Favorite thing about STHS: The small community. I did not want to go to Gresham because of how big it was. So when I found
out Springwater was a smaller school, I was like, “I want to go there.”
