Come, Lord Jesus! Come! May this Advent be a time of deep renewal in my life, dear Lord. May it be a time in which I strive with all my heart to seek out Your gentle and profound voice. Give me the grace, dear Lord, to turn away from the many noises of the world that compete for my attention and to turn only to You and to all You wish to say. Come, Lord Jesus, come into my life more deeply during this Advent season. Jesus, I trust in You.

Yesterday, two Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers, Sergeant Michael Abbate and Trooper Alberto Felix, were killed in the line of duty as they assisted a motorist on a Las Vegas freeway. St. Viator School offers sincere condolences and prayers to the families of the Troopers and to all Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers. St. Viator School also wishes to proudly recognize Sergeant Michael Abbate as a St. Viator Alumni (Class of 2000). This is a devastating loss for our community, and the State of Nevada as these Troopers dedicated themselves in service to our state.

On Wednesday November 30th, our school gathered to acknowledge the hard work of our students as they received their First Trimester Honors Certificates. We are very proud of our students and we are grateful to their teachers and parents for supporting their Catholic Education.

Candy cane gram sale starting next Monday, December the 4th and will continue until Wednesday the 13th or when National Junior Honor Society sells out.

On December 5, 6 & 7 students will be visiting Santa's Workshop (In-School Holiday Shopping) for an opportunity to purchase little presents for their family and friends. The shop will be set up in the Parish Center. The children will shop during their assigned class time. Gift items range from $1.00 - $5.00. It is our hope that through this program our children will learn about handling money and receive the joy of being able to select a special gift for a loved one.

Calling all Saint Viator Families! The PTO invites you to join us for our second Christmas Festival Open House in the SVS courtyard. This event is a Who-Ville themed Open House.

This event is for St. Viator students and their families. There is no charge for this event.

Money is only necessary for the Christmas Shoppe, Glow Cart and Santa's Workshop - please bring cash or check.

Parents or guardians must be with their students at all times.

Christmas Vacation Bible School presented by the Office of Youth Ministry registration ends December 15th. "Winter Wonderland" will be on December 20th - 22nd from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

The St. Viator School Community will be participating in the NFL's Super Kids-Super Sharing sports equipment, book, school supply and game donation project for Super Bowl. With your assistance, we can help many local children.

Collection will begin Monday, December 11th - Tuesday, January 23rd. Gently used or new items: books, sports equipment, school supplies, and games can be dropped off in the school office.

As you can imagine, it takes a lot of donated items as well as donated hours to successfully raise the money needed for our school. If you have items to donate or have contacts that you would like to share with the Foundation committee, please don't hesitate in contacting us. We are happy to pick up items or you can drop them off in the school or parish office.

If you are interested in serving on our committee, please join us in planning this wonderful event.

The most significant criteria to qualify for the Viator Parish rate is regular attendance at Sunday Mass using your envelopes.

In order to qualify for the Viator rate you MUST:

1. Attend a minimum of 26 masses (Saturday or Sunday)
2. Use the envelopes sent to you from the church
3. Forgot your envelope? Remember your parish number and use a blank envelope provided at mass.

DO NOT

1. Mail in your envelopes to St. Viator church. These will not be counted.
2. Drop off your envelope in the church on a school mass day.
3. Forgetting the envelope and telling the church or school you went.

Tuition review will happen end of November and you should have 13 or more masses by this time. All rates will be reviewed and possibly adjusted after the assessment. If your rate is adjusted it will be reflected on the December statement. Please DO NOT call or email the school office or church office to ask if changes are being made until after the receipt of your statement.

Remember, parents are a model of faith for their children and when families join us on a regular basis they are showing their children the priority faith and church has in their lives.
