Sumner County Schools Celebrates CTE Month
Nationally, February marks a special celebration of Career and Technical Education (CTE), recognizing the invaluable contributions CTE programs make to our students' futures. CTE Month is a time to celebrate the innovative educators, dedicated administrators, and passionate students who make CTE thrive. It's a reminder of the importance of hands-on learning, industry partnerships, and career exploration in preparing students for success in their chosen fields.
Sumner County Schools celebrates this month by spotlighting some of our finest CTE teachers!

Teaching as a Profession
Gallatin High School’s Teaching as a Profession program is proud to be hosting their first Vol State Dual Enrollment course for future educators. In addition to their college academic studies they are participating in a 12-week mentorship, two days a week in Gallatin area schools including Shafer Middle School, Guild Elementary School, Vena Stuart Elementary School, Howard Elementary School, and Union Elementary School. This real, relevant learning experience with seasoned professionals and their students is edifying, encouraging, and inspiring them in their educational career exploration and aspirations. At the end of the semester they will be honored at a GHS Future Educator commitment signing and pinning ceremony to celebrate their efforts in high school and to send them off feeling supported by friends, family, and Sumner County Schools as they take their next steps. We hope to see them back here in Sumner County teaching future students!!
