Performance Classes
When: October 15-21
Where: CMM
Sign up on: My Music Staff Portal
During this week there will be NO private lessons. This is REQUIRED for all students performing in the fall recital.
ALL students should attend and plan to play their recital piece OR something they've been working on. Adult students do NOT have lessons this week.
Performance classes serve to connect, learn and improve our student’s social and keyboard skills. Students will interact and make new friends, show others what they've been learning, and for those participating in the upcoming recitals, reviewing recital etiquette and most importantly, preparing them for a successful performance. It's a fun class where sharing their love for music and piano is involved, friendly feedback is given creating a positive learning environment!
Note: If students cannot attend the whole duration of the class, please sign up for a time where they can be present from start to finish. Due to limited space, these classes are students-only.
Fall Recitals: Music my Way! Join us on October 28 and 29 for a celebration of music that our students selected for the recital! Sign up on: My Music Staff Portal

Young Artist Development Program
This program was created and designed for the young musician who is interesed in receiving a performing arts high school level of experience where we take a deep dive into modern pop and classical performance artistry. The program will have as guest clinicians multitalented artists such as Nigel Rivers, Damon Clark, Professors Dr. Richard Shuster and Dr. Danny Milan, and others!
At the end of this program the participants will perform in a final showcase a solo, ensemble or original piece at the beautiful Kawai Recital Hall in Plano.

Fall Festival - Adjudicated Event
Fall Festival is a day in which the students will be playing some of their pieces and get feedback from an experienced judge. This is helpful for students to receive some comments from another perspective and to know what they have achieved during this short period.
Adult Piano Party
Dedicated to our adult students to connect with other students and share their music in a more casual and friendly environment.
Time and place will be defined soon. Bring your significant other if you'd like!Enrichment Day
Our second Enrichment Day is coming up. A Composition Workshop dedicated to students of all levels. Here they will gain an understanding on how to create their own music, use all the tools learned in their lessons and share their creativity with others.
No previous knowledge in composition is required. Space is limited and location is CMM (in-person.)
Make-up lessons
We know how busy every one is, and it's the time of the year in which you might find yourself busy with other commitments and requests for make-up lessons are going to come up.
Unfortunately, our school has a full-time schedule and finding a space and time out of your child's regularly lesson will be complicated. But don't worry! we have two possible solutions for this:
1. Online lessons
2. Video lessons
Here is a link to our website giving information on both of these options: https://centreformusicalminds.org/resources/make-up-lessons Both options provide great feedback to continue their progress on their skills! Discuss this with your assigned teacher to find the best solution for your needs.
