Welcome to Utah Education Network's Professional Development Weekly Newsletter!
We are now into April and the Professional Development team at UEN is so excited about Summer 2023's courses. If you didn't know UEN offers online, 6-week courses throughout the summer on a variety of topics. Course registration opened on April 1st, but there are some spaces left. Utah educators who take courses through UEN can get USBE re-licensure credit or SUU credit. Use this link to sign up for our Summer 2023 courses.

PDTV: UCET23
In this eMedia Update, you'll learn how to join an eMedia hub and discover a world of resources in your curriculum area. With access to videos, lesson plans, and collaborative groups, you can feel supported in your teaching and connect with other educators and specialists in your field.

This course can be completed at any pace, at any time throughout the year. Remember that all UEN courses are free and open to any educator in Utah.
It’s time for the April/May Nearpod Badge Challenge! Each month, Nearpod users in Utah can earn a digital badge to show off their Nearpod skills.

To earn this month’s digital badge, create your own Nearpod lesson and launch it with 3+ students during the month of April or May.

- Start fresh within the Nearpod platform.
- Import a Google Slides or PowerPoint presentation.
- Use the Google Slides add-on.

Smithsonian National Education Summit
- Daily Resource Share: All members of GEGUtah are part of a Google Group and through that group, GEGUtah leadership shares one technology tool, resource, or event happening in Utah. From updates to Google, national resources on Google tools, and local events, GEGUtah shares resources every day to support you and your learners.
- A monthly meetup on Youtube to share a Googley lesson plan and ideas for your classroom. In these meetups, usually, later in the month, GEGUtah leadership shares resources and lesson plans from their classrooms.
- Sponsored meetups and sessions at UCET and URSA. GEGUtah has sponsored special sessions and rooms at local conferences including a 'secret' session at UCET23 with Eric Curts.
