COVID-19 Dashboard
The District 41 COVID Dashboard is a way for the public to monitor both the number of positive covid cases reported for students and staff as well as the number of people quarantined in the district due to close contact with someone who has tested positive. The dashboard will be updated every Monday by the end of the day.

COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics for Kids 5-11
District 41 announced two vaccination clinics for students yesterday. Both clinics were full within minutes. There is very high interest in these appointments. The district will continue to work at scheduling vaccination opportunities for students. In the meantime, please contact your doctor’s office or other scheduled clinics in the community.
Visit www.vaccines.gov to find the soonest available appointment nearest to your home. DCHD anticipates providing pediatric COVID-19 vaccination appointments beginning November 15th and you are able to register your child with DCHD here. Once registered, you will be contacted via email for an appointment.

New Student Mental Health Days Start in January 2022
All students in Illinois will be able to take up to five excused mental health days starting in January 2022. Under a new bill signed into law by Governor Pritzker, students who decide to take a mental health day will not be required to provide their school with a doctor’s note and will be able to make up any work that was missed on their day off.
Once a parent requests a second mental health day for their child, the district is obligated by law to have a school mental health staff member (counselor, social worker, psychologist) reach out to the family and the student may be referred to a professional for help, according to the bill. Support will be provided to students who are out for two or more mental health days.
Starting in January, when parents call their students in for an absence, please let the school office know if it is for a mental health day. This begins in January, however, if your child is in need of support before then please reach out to your building principal, social worker, psychologist or counselor so that we can assist in providing the support needed.
In District 41, we will be developing our process for reaching out to families when that second day occurs and aligning supports that will be offered. When we have this information finalized, we will notify all families.
