This Week! Deadman's Hill Egg Car Science Enrichment - October 12
Design, build, and test a car - make it as safe as possible! It will need to protect your "passenger" (an egg) as it rolls quickly down a ramp and crashes into a concrete wall. Sign up within the OLS under any class. Grades 6-12
Middle School Science Series! Grades 6-8
Students will investigate scientific principles by completing hands-on science labs. Students will learn and use the scientific method to explore common middle school science topics. Labs will include plant and animal cells, measurement, properties of matter, and motion. Build and crash egg cars. Design and test a marble roller coaster. Create and view microscope slides. Sign up within the OLS under any class. Grades 6-8
Coding With Minecraft Enrichment Series!
Is your student interested in computer science and programming? Do they like Minecraft? Students will learn the basics of coding while exploring Minecraft Editions computer science curriculum. Coding with Minecraft introduces students to important concepts in computer science that can be found in all programming languages such as events, coordinates, and variables. Students will use their new knowledge of block coding to build and modify Minecraft scenarios. For grades 6-8. Sign up in the OLS
Partnering with Parents to Help Students Improve Their Reading Skills
Reading Support at FPCS
Family Partnership is deeply committed to helping families. Please reach out to your sponsor teacher if you need support. Sponsor teachers can access supplemental resources, offer curriculum expertise, connect you with teacher experts, and suggest intervention classes. You are your child’s teacher, and we are here for you!
Reimbursement Deadline Update
In order to process receipts in a more timely manner, reimbursement receipts need to be turned in within 60 days of purchase. If you need more time, please reach out to the principal for an extension. Our goal is to dramatically improve our processing times for families.
