“Where faith soars, minds excel, and futures ignite”
Week of December 15th-January 4th
2023-2024 School Year - Issue #16
“A God who became so small could only be mercy and love."
~St. Thérèse of Lisieux
Hello St. Michael- St. Clement Students and Families,
First and foremost, I extend my warmest wishes for a Merry Christmas to each and every one of you and your loved ones. This season is filled with joy as we come together to celebrate the miraculous birth of Jesus. In the midst of all the festivities, I urge all families to take a moment before December 25th to pause and reflect on the true essence of Christmas, which is the arrival of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We have successfully completed four full months of school, and now we are fortunate to have a two-week Christmas vacation. As a gesture of self-care and rejuvenation, I have requested that all staff members take this time to disconnect from emails and any school-related matters. I kindly ask all families to honor this request as well. If there is an urgent matter that requires immediate attention, please reach out to me via email at mzipp@stmstc.org, and I will address it promptly. However, for all non-urgent matters, I kindly request that they be postponed until Tuesday, January 2nd, the day we return from break.
Once again, I extend my heartfelt wishes for a truly blessed Merry Christmas to all of you!
Yours in Christ,
Matt Zipp

WINTER INFORMATION FOR 2024
Colder/Inclement Weather
The time of year has come where the temperatures are getting colder and inclement weather becomes a possibility. As a reminder, all students will go outside for recess unless the temperatures or wind chill are below freezing. Please make sure to send students into school with proper outerwear for outdoor recess.
Also, if inclement weather does occur, St. Michael - St. Clement School follows Baltimore County Public Schools when following school closures or delays. If a closure or delay occurs, we will also send out a notification via our school alert system. Please do not call the school office. Thank you!
***We will only communicate separately if Baltimore County Schools already have a planned closure or delay in their schedule
***Any snow day used after we have used up the first 5 will need to be made up. This means taking days from spring break, or adding them to the end of the school year.

Saint Michael the Archangel isn't a saint, but rather he is an angel, and the leader of all angels and of the army of God. This is what the title "Archangel" means, that he is above all the others in rank.
Redemptorist preacher and reformer. Clement preached, built orphanages and schools, and established a vast Redemptorist presence in the city.
