Winter Holiday Break
There will be NO SCHOOL December 25, 2023 - January 1, 2024 due to the Winter Holiday Break. School will RESUME on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
4th Grade Presentation
“I Wish the Hitting Would Stop” Domestic Violence Education Program
In collaboration with the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center of Fargo-Moorhead (RACC), the domestic violence prevention program “I Wish the Hitting Would Stop” will be presented in 4th grade classrooms on Monday, December 11th, and Wednesday, December 13th. Educators from the RACC will be presenting the program. This program deals with the issue of domestic violence and its impacts on children. Second Semester Milk Break
Second semester mid-morning milk will begin on Monday, January 16, 2024, and end on Friday, May 24th, 2024. The cost is $28.00, paid through PowerSchool or directly at the school office beginning Friday 12/1.
Missed milk breaks due to cancelled school, illness, milk supply shortages, etc. have been factored into the semester cost therefore, refunds will not be provided for these instances. If purchased after March 18th the cost for the semester will be $14.00.
Staff Recognition Awards and Long-Range Facility Plan Survey
Fargo Public Schools Accepting Nominations for Teacher, Administrator, and Support Staff of the Year Awards
Community members are invited to nominate a deserving Fargo Public Schools teacher, administrator, or support staff member for the annual Staff Recognition Program. The program honors FPS staff members who serve our students with excellence. Online instructions, forms, and the application process can be found at www.fargo.k12.nd.us/StaffRecognitionProgram.
Long-Range Facility Plan Survey
Fargo Public Schools is seeking input regarding future investments in our District’s facilities. Please complete this Long-Range Facility Planning survey to help FPS prioritize major capital investments such as new construction and major renovations across the next five to 10 years. The survey closes at midnight on Sunday, December 3. The survey can be taken at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/B9GVHXP.
Winter Weather
Please remind your students to dress warmly for their walk to and from school as well as noon recess. Mittens, gloves, hats, snow pants, scarves and boots become essential for a North Dakota winter.
We use wind chill temperatures to help us decide whether students go outside for recess. Our magic number is –10°F bundle up and get ready for winter.
