Level Up with PRIDE - Week #12🎮
Greetings, STEAM Family!
We would like to begin this week's memo by congratulating our outstanding 2nd - 4th grade scholars who earned Honor Roll for the 1st Nine Weeks of school by maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 90.0 or higher. Check out the list below! Due to the district's implementation of standards-based report cards for Kindergarten and 1st Grade this year, the criteria for Honor Roll (1st grade only) is under review. Once this has been finalized, parents will be notified accordingly.
We’re getting ready for an exciting, fun-filled week at SDE! Students and staff are gearing up for Red Ribbon Week, along with our 1st Nine Weeks PRIDE Celebration & Fall Festival. There’s loads of fun to be had, and SDE is here for every bit of it! 😊As you are aware, detailed information was sent home last week with the participation criteria and additional need-to-knows for our Fall Festival; however, the information featured below can serve as a refresher, so all of our parents/guardians may plan accordingly, in addition to the reminder flyer we will send home this week.
On Thursday, October 26th, all of our kindergarten students and parents are invited to a Book-n-Treat Literacy and Stakeholder Engagement Night. This event will take place from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm, and families who attend and complete the exit survey will receive a total of 10 PBIS Rewards Points for their child/children!
In the meantime, should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's homeroom teacher and/or our administrative team at (478) 353-8250. Let's "Level Up" with another fantastic week!

PRIDE After School Program
As a gentle reminder, beginning this week, the P.R.I.D.E. Afterschool Program will resume for students in grades 2nd - 4th ONLY. Parents, thank you again, for your understanding and cooperation.
Daily Reminders for SDE:
ATTENDANCE MATTERS - Parents, please make sure your child maintains regular attendance and arrives to school in a timely manner. Students are tardy at 8:15 am. Five (5) tardies and/or early dismissals count as one (1) unexcused absence. Student attendance will be a part of criteria used to determine eligibility for school-wide celebrations. Remember, every minute really counts!
- Weekly grade level newsletters will be sent home each Monday, so please check your child's folder and/or book bag.
- The dress code will be enforced DAILY at SDE! Any "Dress Down" days will be communicated in advance. Repeated dress code violations will result in students becoming ineligible to participate in school-wide and/or classroom PRIDE celebrations and events! Please make sure your child adheres to the required dress code. Remember, the P in PRIDE stands for "Personal Responsibility".
