Principal's Message


Hello Springwater Students and Families,


A challenging school year has successfully come to a close! Thank you to every student, family member, and staff member for your perseverance.


This update contains summer resources as well as the schedule for next fall. We look forward to returning to our regular high school schedule in September. I can't wait to see our entire school back in the building, together again! It has been far too long!


We have also included information about summer school for any student who needs to catch up on their credits. We will be reaching out to families (we've begun this already) to get students signed up.


Mr. Aaron Ramsey and Ms. Christina Moline will be supporting our summer school program, just like last year. Due to exciting construction this summer, we will be hosting our summer school at Gresham High School.


Over the summer all classrooms will be receiving IFPs (Interactive Flat Panels) to replace our old digital projectors. These IFPs are really just like large flat screen tvs -- with the added bonus of an interactive touch screen. They basically act like a giant computer tablet, the size of a large flat screen tv, in each classroom.


Bond construction will also break ground on our new covered area (to replace our current uncovered basketball court). We are excited to have a covered Physical Education space that can also be utilized by the neighborhood!

Yearbooks

Attention Fred Meyer Shoppers

Springwater Trail High School is enrolled in the Fred Meyer Community Rewards program! Please link your Fred Meyer rewards card with our nonprofit number MU443. Fred Meyers will donate a percentage of your purchases every quarter to our program. This will NOT affect your reward points or fuel points. Last quarter we received $78.49, every little bit helps. This program helps pay for transportation to allow our students to attend events in the community. Below is the link to sign up.

Report Cards Online

Parents, did you know you can access your student's progress reports and report cards online through ParentVue? To access the report card from your ParentVue account, just click on the 'report card' button on the left side. Paper report cards will be available by request only. If you have trouble logging into your ParentVue account or need to get it set up, please contact Koryna Herreid at 503-261-4600 or Herreid@gresham.k12.or.us.

Volunteering

Interested in Volunteering at STHS for the 20-21 school year?


1) Go to the district website at www.gresham.k12.or.us

2) Hover over “About Us” and click on “Volunteer Information”

3) In the left-hand menu, click on “Volunteer Application Form”

4) Fill out the online application

5) Record your volunteer badge number


Once completed, the approval process can take up to two weeks.

Springwater Attendance

If your son/daughter is struggling with distance learning for any reason, please reach out to your student's teacher or the office (503-261-4600) so we can help create a solution. Teachers are also tracking weekly participation and engagement. If you student receives a "NC" (Needs Contact), someone from our school will reach out to you. Please see additional attendance information in attachments below.

Electronic Flyers

Gresham-Barlow Distict has launched a new electronic flyer tool called “Peachjar.” This service allows us to “go green” and will ensure that every flier is delivered to each household. Peachjar will provide flyers directly to your computer, tablet or mobile device.


To view school-approved flyers, simply click the Peachjar button on your school’s website.
