Thank you Lin Howe Community for another amazing PRIDE Recognition Ceremony! In celebration of Women's History Month we dedicated this ceremony to some of the most influential women in history... past, present, and future! This included, but not limited to poems, quotes, and music from Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sally Ride, Emily Dickenson, Joyce Alcantara, Norah Jones, Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin, and Sister Sledge. We ended with a powerful collaborative Sea Dragon PRIDE Jam that highlighted Determination with influence from the famous female led band Fleetwood Mac! As we head into the final stretch of our 2022-2023 school year, we are Determined to grow and keep pushing through. Below is our program from both ceremonies, lyrics to our Determination Jam, Opening PRIDE video, and Determination Song. Let's continue to push forward, create change, and build equity for all!!!

If you are still in need of childcare afterschool, please see the information below. Thank you!
Iverbe Day and Sports Program is coming to Linwood Howe! Our goal is to provide a safe,
supportive environment where students are free to explore their capabilities and focus on
having fun. We are committed to providing your child with a uniquely personal after-school
experience. Our staff understands the importance of developing relationships with their
students and will help them build meaningful relationships with each other.
The Iverbe After-School Program at Linwood Howe will provide a great mix of letting kids work on their homework, play organized sports and games outside, as well as engaging activities inside the classroom. Our student to teacher ratio will be no more than 10 to 1. Iverbe will provide a snack to all students each day.
Parents who register will be able to pay monthly and will be responsible each month to login
and pay for the following month. We will email details once students are registered. Since there
are only a few months left, the price for the program will be as follows: April will be $300, May
$400 and June $200.
Registration is available on our website at www.iverbe.com. Just click the “Register Here” tab.
You will need to create an account and just follow the steps to Linwood Howe After School. We
will start Monday 4/10 right after spring break. We are limiting enrollment to 20 kids to start so
if interested please register ASAP. Once all spots are filled, there will be a waitlist. Once you are
in our program, you will have priority for the following school year (2023-2024).

Yearbooks will be available to order from now until April 14th

It's very important to update your child's grade and teacher info if you have bought yearbooks in the past. If you are buying multiple yearbooks for different kids make sure you include the teachers/grade information for each student.

2. ENVELOPE FORMS

We are sending envelope forms home with your kids the week of March 20th. If you would like to pay by cash you can do so this way. Have your student return the envelope to their teacher OR drop at the front office. Make sure to clearly write your child's first and last name, grade and teacher's name.

3. IN PERSON

Pre order a yearbook in person April 12th-14th outside the Kinder gates and main gate. We will accept cash EXACT CHANGE ONLY $25 or credit cards. NO CHECKS

The very last day for purchasing a yearbook is April 14th. We cannot accept late orders so please plan accordingly.

Yearbooks will be delivered to school at the end of May/early June and passed out by their teachers.

Lin Howe Dodgers Day April 30 & Dodgers Fundraising!

Lin Howe has partnered with the Los Angeles Dodgers for the 2023 season!

For each Dodgers ticket purchased through Lin Howe's special ticket link, a portion of the sales will go back to Lin Howe! There are 25 games to choose from ranging from April 2 to September 20! Feel free to share the link with family & friends.

**Join us for Lin Howe Dodgers Day at the April 30 1:10pm game - Dodgers v. Cardinals (Mr. Chabola's favorite team!). Grab Left Field Pavilion Seats and we'll try to get a Lin Howe cheering section going. If you'd prefer to sit elsewhere, stay tuned for info on between innings Lin Howe meetups. Wear your Lin Howe gear and let's support our school and the Dodgers!

In the Art and Innovation Lab, our Makers have been working on projects that integrate their art and engineering skills. Here are some photos from 4th grade's Inclusive Playground Design project. The challenge was for each class to design one full park that people of all abilities and interests could enjoy. Each partnership created one play zone for the park. After planning and designing, Makers built a model of their idea. Their designs were extremely thoughtful and creative. Excellent work!

We are excited to announce that the Actors Gang Free Spring After School Program for 4th & 5th graders starts after Spring Break. Please help us spread the word to parents and interested students. Flyer is attached (TAG SPRING 2023 ANNOUNCEMENT - in English and Spanish).

PURCHASE A LAWN/WINDOW SIGN FOR $10!

to honor a CCHS 2023 graduate, the promotion of a CCMS 8th grader, or the promotion of a 5th grader or Kinder student at each of our 5 Culver City Elementary schools (Farragut, El Marino, El Rincon, Lin Howe, or La Ballona).

Buy one for yourself or your student, or you can even Sponsor a Senior by purchasing a sign for a student who may not be able to afford one. Signs are great for students, parents, teachers, and staff!

Each sign is 24″ by 18″ full color. Metal “H” stake included. Can also be displayed in a window.

LAWN SIGNS ARE IN STOCK NOW! Lawn signs will be available for pick-up or purchase on Thursday 3/16 from 4-5pm, in the parking lot between Farragut Elementary and CCMS.

Alternate pick-up/sales dates will be held from March through May and at each school's respective Open House. Stay tuned for email notifications with pick-up times, dates, and locations.

THE LAWN SIGN SALE WILL END ON June 5th AT 12PM, OR WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.

This fundraiser is sponsored by the Culver City High School PTSA. All proceeds for each school’s lawn sign sales will go to the CCHS PTSA to be reinvested back into the school and used for scholarships for the senior class.
