Extra Curricular Schedule at St. John

Clubs run from 3:15-4:15 p.m. with the exception of Wednesdays. All clubs dismiss at the back door or students are sent to After Care. Please make sure all permissions are on file in the office.

Monday- Praise Dance (3rd-5th)

Tuesday- Praise Dance (Pk-2nd), FLAG (5-8), Drumline (2-8)

Wednesday- Choir (3-8), Cheer (4-8) 2:15-3:15 p.m.

Thursday- Debate (5-8), Cheer (PreK-3)

Friday- no clubs at this time

Halloween

Halloween is approaching on Monday, October 31st. As is SJDLS tradition, PreK through 4th grade will be permitted to wear costumes to school on that day. Costumes cannot have any weapons, gore, & NO CLOWNS...please remember we are a Catholic school with 3 year olds and up. Middle School's clothing for the day will be dependent on behavior- TBD.

Comedy Night

Comedy night is coming soon on November 12th at 8 p.m.! This our big fundraiser for our SJDLS Drumline! Tickets are $25 before the event, and $30 at the door. $5 from each ticket comes off of your fundraising fee. This adults only event is not one to miss! I-Ready

Please remember that grades 1-8 are expected to pass 1 IReady lesson per week. Students are given time in class all week to work on it. If they are unable to complete the lesson in the time provided, the expectation is that they complete it at home. All logins for I-Ready, textbooks, etc. are printed on their Blue Folder login sheets.

Bio: Erica Davis

Native of Chicago, Illinois. Born and bred on the Southside, Erica attended CICS Longwood Academy then matriculated from there to Lane College in Jackson, TN. Upon graduation with a BA in Education, Erica returned to Chicago with the intentions of giving back. She's taught at her alma mater Longwood and has gained valuable work experiences from various other schools she's worked at. Some of her hobbies include coaching basketball and playing drums. She loves the Lord and through faith, is ready to fulfill the next mission God has for her life.
