Christmas Carol Service
We will hold our Christmas carol service on the 19th of December at 6pm in Dangan Church. We will have a full rehearsal on Monday morning. The children will travel to and from the church by bus. The children should arrive at the church at 5:45pm on the night of the performance.
Costumes: The children in 1st to 6th class should wear a Christmas jumper or Santa hat.
The children in Senior infants can dress as shepherds or angels. We suggest an adult's plain t-shirt and a tea towel on their head as a Shepard's costume and an adult's white t-shirt or shirt with a circle of tinsel on their heads for angels. The children can choose to be an angel or shepherd.
Costumes are being provided for the children in Junior infants
Christmas Tree
We would like to thank Parent's Association who have gifted the school a Christmas tree for the yard. We would love to see every family represented on the tree. Please send in one decoration per family. We are very grateful to TK alarms, who are sponsoring the lighting for the tree.
St Vincent de Paul Day baked goods reminder
We ask each family to make an anonymous donation in an envelope and send it into school with their eldest child.
Biodiversity dress up day
Biodiversity day was a huge success. We saw a wonderful display of flora and fauna throughout the school. Well done everyone for taking part and flexing your creative muscles.
Primary Maths curriculum
The school was closed last Thursday while the teachers attended training for the new Primary Maths curriculum. In the coming weeks and months the teachers will be exploring the elements of the new curriculum. We will focus on Maths talk during lessons for the next half term. The official implementation of the curriculum will commence September 2024.
Classroom Building Project
The floor has been laid in the new classroom. The carpenters are due to install door frames and trimmings this week. We are still on track to move in after the Christmas break. We are getting excited now. The builders have kindly offered to help us move the furniture across from the Church classroom which will lessen our load on moving day.
Christmas Holidays
The school will close at 12 O' Clock on the 22nd of December for the Christmas break. We will reopen on the 8th of January.
