Summer Check-In
New Assistant Principals at LOHS
We are thankful to Dr. Crawford for his many years of incredible service to the Laker Community, he is now the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction at Lakeridge High School. Additionally, we are grateful to Mr. Rosenau and the years he served here at LOHS, he is now the Principal at Estacada High School. We wish both the best in their new roles.
We are delighted to introduce our new Assistant Principals, Aaron Hollingshead and Jason Hohnbaum. With their extensive experience in education and dedication to student success, they bring a wealth of knowledge and a fresh perspective to our school community. We are confident that both Aaron and Jason will make a positive impact and contribute to our ongoing pursuit of excellence.
A little more about our new Assistant Principals:
Aaron Hollingshead is a native Oregonian who attended Willamette University where he ran track and cross country. He comes to us from La Salle Prep in Milwaukie where he was the Vice Principal for Student Life. Aaron has a six and a seven-year-old attending Palisades and Hallinan respectively, and cites the many positive experiences they have had as one reason he is excited to be joining Lake Oswego High School.
Prior to his time at La Salle, Aaron spent 12 years working as a School Counselor, IB Coordinator, and AP Coordinator at international schools in Doha, Barcelona, and Hong Kong. In his free time, he does trail running and dabbles in real estate investing. Aaron states that he is "looking forward to making connections with students and supporting teachers".
Jason Hohnbaum has been in education for 19 years. He spent the first 12 years of his career at Stayton Middle School teaching 6th and 7th-grade history. He then spent three years as a technology coach for the Beaverton School District. These past four years he has been an administrator for the Sheridan School District. For two years, he was assistant principal at Faulconer-Chapman K-8 School before becoming Sheridan High School Principal.
Jason grew up in Sherwood where he married his high school sweetheart Patty. They live in Tigard with their three children, Lauren, Emma, and Mason.
Please help me give a warm Laker welcome to both Aaron and Jason!
