April 3, 2020 Update
Principal's Post
Dear Families,
Thankfully we have made it into April! It is important that we continue our communication with you, and we appreciate your feedback. Teachers are working hard to prepare continuous learning opportunities and reach our Rainiers.
The administrative team and our school staff are continuing to collaborate to develop action plans that address the needs at each of our schools and as a district. We recognize this is an evolving situation and as more information and guidance becomes available, our current plan may be revised accordingly.
Currently, you should receive a weekly overview email from your child's teacher(s) every Monday morning that will have all that you need for the week ahead.
Do you have any pictures of your child(ren) learning at home? Please send them my way and I will include them in an upcoming newsletter.
Sincerely,
Allison Shew

Weekly Attendance
Teachers are required to take weekly attendance. Homeroom teachers are tracking attendance through interactions with parents (Preschool-2nd Grade) and with students in 3rd-8th grade. These interactions may include emails, Google Hangouts, text, phone call, etc.
Staff Virtual Contact Information and Office Hours
We plan to remain in steady contact with our students and families throughout the extent of the closure.
Each staff member on the document below has a virtual phone number. This virtual number allows us to receive phone calls and text messages to our cell phone or computer. The 619 area code is from San Diego. These are automatically generated numbers from Google Voice.
In addition, we have listed the hours we are readily available.
Please reference this attachment to stay in contact with us.

Digital Citizenship For Students and Parents
As we transition to digital learning in these unprecedented times it is important for students to practice good digital citizenship. Remember school Google accounts that are assigned to students are still subject to the policies and procedures of the Eatonville School District. Our direction is to Be Safe, Be Responsible, and Be Respectful. Digital connections and digital meetings with fellow students and teachers should be considered educational, while using district accounts. Using this information for harassment, bullying or any other form of intimidation will not be tolerated by the district.
With everyone's help we can make this situation creative, positive and educational. Help each other be a positive Digital Citizen.
Parents, you can help by monitoring activity when possible. Find more information at Common Sense Media: Age-Based Media Reviews for Families.
