Baby Watch
Hello St. Michael- St. Clement Students and Families,
What an incredible start we've had to the school year! The testing phase went smoothly, and I can't contain my excitement for the upcoming Principal Huddle on Monday. My main focus during the meeting will be ensuring that our students are meeting our expectations, particularly when it comes to maintaining a clean campus and, above all, treating each other with respect. I'm also eagerly looking forward to hearing their thoughts on how the year has been progressing so far.
On a more personal note, I wanted to share some exciting news with all of you. My wife and I are currently on Baby Watch, eagerly awaiting the arrival of our third child, who will be our first boy. We are expecting him to join our family sometime between now and October 13th. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up, in case I happen to be absent for a few days.
Let's all embrace the start of fall and enjoy this wonderful season together!
Yours in Christ,
Matt Zipp
2023-2024 Income Surveys: EXTENDED!!!!!!!
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the 150 families who have taken the time to complete the income surveys. Your participation is immensely valued. However, we currently stand at a 48% success rate, which means there is still progress to be made. The positive news is that the deadline has been extended until September 29th, 2023. We understand that this process can be time-consuming, but it is crucial in securing the necessary funds from the state to support vital programs. Together, let's strive to achieve a 100% completion rate before time runs out.
If you are in need of a paper copy, please contact the office and we will send one home with your student.

Student Expectations 2023-2024
"Nobody rises to low expectations”- Calvin Loyd
Pastorate Food Drive
Lutherville Rock School is BACK at STM-STC!
Lutherville Rock School is thrilled to be back at STM-STC this year! Our rock band program is an exciting opportunity for students to learn how to practice and play in a setting with their peers that is unlike any other traditional music program. We have been coaching bands for almost a decade and have seen the tremendous impact it has on every student that has joined. Band mates learn to work together as a team, play in a space where they are pushed to play as one cohesive unit and have fun.
Our bands usually consist of Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboard and Voice, but we welcome most other instruments. Each student is placed in a band based on their instrument, age and skill level. Throughout the session, they will choose a band name, learn a list of chosen songs, write some music and learn how to perform in front of an audience. The session culminates in a band Showcase, where students get to play the songs they've learned on stage in the auditorium!
The program only costs $75/month per student, however, if you are enrolled in private lessons through Lutherville Music School, the band program is only an additional $45/month. We look forward to rocking out with you! Please click the button below for the fall session!
Purple Friday's
Get ready for the upcoming 2023 Ravens season because it's time to embrace Purple Fridays! We invite the entire school community to join us every Friday, unless there's a game scheduled on a Monday or Thursday, in which case we'll have a special Purple Day. Kindly follow these guidelines to make the most of this exciting tradition:
- Students are permitted to wear a Ravens Jersey, T-Shirt, Hoodie, or Jacket in place of their school uniform polo/shirt.
- Students are permitted to wear a plain Purple T-Shirt or Hoodie in place of their school uniform polo/shirt.
- Being good sports, if you are not a fan of the Ravens, another teams Jersey, Hoodie, or T-Shirt will be permitted in place of their school uniform polo/shirt.
- Everything else is Friday uniform as usual.
Come on out to the St. Michael- St. Clement School Gym on Tuesday evenings for some Dads over 30 Basketball. The games will start later on evenings when the HSA is held.
Children of Mary is Back for 2023-2024!
All students in grades 4 - 8 are invited to join the Children of Mary. The main purpose of the club is to increase understanding of and a devotion to Mary, the Mother of Jesus. We will meet twice a month on scheduled Thursdays from 3:00PM until 4:00PM. Mrs. House will provide a schedule of meetings. We pray, learn about Mary, make rosaries, serve others (sick, homeless, homebound, military, & others in need), make cards, socialize, and HAVE FUN! During the months of October and May we also lead the student body in the recitation of the rosary each day. We also sponsor the annual school May Crowning. If you are interested in joining this fun and faith-filled club, please click on the button below to view the full flyer and complete the sign-up form and return it to the school office as soon as possible. We are limited in the number of members this year so be sure to sign up quickly. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Linda House at lhouse@stmstc.org. Our first meeting is being held today, Thursday, September 21st, in Room 203.
