Our Friendship Day celebration was so much fun!
Thank you to all the parent volunteers and high school students who spent the day with us here celebrating Friendship Day. The kids got to travel around to different classrooms with different students from different classes and the thought it was amazing! They even got to eat lunch and play at recess with their new group of friends! Making friends is so very important. We have been talking about how to make friends and to approach new friends at recess or even in the classroom as they never know when they are going to meet their new best friend!!
At Friendship Day, the kiddos went to 6 different classrooms to meet 6 different teachers and do 6 different activities. They played Bingo, did a STEM activity, made butter, made friendship bracelets, played cooperative games and got to listen to "The Cool Bean" be read to them and they each even got their very own copy to keep for their at home library!! They also shook their tail feathers and did the Turkey Hokey Pokey, went on a Turkey Hunt, and chicka-boom rocked the day away with their sweet dance moves.
Their most favorite part though is getting to all eat together in the cafeteria, enjoying the amazing turkey dinner that was cooked for them, and then getting to play with all their new friends together at recess!
Balloons over The ELC
Several of the classes participated in reading Balloons Over Broadway, then created their own balloons, and even went on their own parade through the halls of The ELC!.

We have two separate drives happening right now, a food drive and a toy drive. Both benefits Hobart families. If you are able to give, it would be so greatly appreciated!
Check Out Our STATE Recognized Brickies from the Start Program!
The School City of Hobart Building Brickies' goal is to strengthen families by empowering parents as their child’s first and best teachers. Every day, we advocate for families so every child-in every neighborhood-can thrive.
Please update emergency clothes in your child's backpack!
It’s that time of year where the weather is changing. Remember those bags of emergency clothes in your child’s backpack? Please swap out the summer clothes for fall clothing. Please also make sure your child’s emergency bag has socks and underwear in it. If your child doesn’t have a bag in their backpack- please make them one!!! One outfit, one pair of socks, and one pair of underwear. This is for any emergency your child may encounter here at school, not just bathroom accidents. You never know when they may slip in mud or chocolate milk will attack at lunch!!
OH NO!!! YOUR LITTLE BRICKIE ISN'T FEELING WELL?
If your child isn't feeling well, please keep him or her at home. You must report the absence IN SKYWARD before 10:00AM. There is no need to call the school to let us know. If there are any questions about the absence, we will reach out to you.
