Dear RTMS Families,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! We look forward to meeting your children, and watching their growth over the upcoming year. It was wonderful seeing so many students in the building this past week!
Please read all the information below carefully. There is a lot of important information regarding our drop off/pick up to start the school year, while our parking lot construction finishes up.
Drop-Off/Pick-Up Changes
Due to construction on the parking lot, we will follow a different drop-off and pick-up procedure until further notice. Please read these instructions carefully and reference the map below for further assistance.
We strongly encourage that your child takes the bus, walks or rides a bike to school if they are able. If your child requires door-to-door assistance, please notify Mrs. Krall-Meske or Mr. Henkel.
DROP-OFF and PICK-UP will be conducted at the Northwest Assembly of God church with assistance from our staff members (on the corner of Kensington and Wolf):
Parents/guardians should enter the church lot via the entrance on Kensington Road
You will then follow the path illustrated by the green arrows on the map
The DROP-OFF and PICK-UP point will be along the north side of the church lot, directly across the field from the school
Parents/guardians should exit the church lot via the exit on Wolf Road
For DROP-OFF: Students will walk across the field and enter the school through DOOR 5
For PICK-UP: Students will wait at the PICK-UP point until their parent/guardian arrives
If your child is a registered bus rider, we strongly encourage that they do in fact ride the bus rather than be dropped off.
Walkers/Bikers should enter the building through the front entrance.
Thank you for your understanding and patience while construction work is completed.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to Mr. Henkel or I with any questions or concerns.
In partnership,
Mary Krall-Meske
Principal
A/B Day Calendar
The first and last days of the school year are Early Release days. Students will attend both their A and B day classes on these days so that they can meet all of their teachers, and also be able to say goodbye to them on the last day of school.

School Breakfast/Lunch
If buying school breakfast/lunch -
- MealTime Online <-- go here to sign in or set up a new account
- Create & Add to Your Child's Meal Account: MealTime is an easy online system to add to and keep track of your child's account used for breakfast & lunch. It can be set up to auto-reload too! You need to know your child's 5-digit school ID number. Student ID numbers can be found when logging into the parent portal. All families have received a paper mailer about Food Services for the coming year.
- MealTime Online Application Guide (English)
- Any students requiring meal modifications need to complete a form with the school nurse. If this is something your child needs, please contact Lindsay Veller after August 8, 2022.
Don't forget: Summer Reading!!
It's not too late!
What is SUMMER READING?
All RTMS students are required to read one book over the summer. Each grade level has a specific list of reading selections from which the students will choose.
Then what happens?
Upon returning to school in the fall, students will complete an assignment or discussion in their ELA classes.
Why Summer Reading?
Summer reading is an excellent way for students to demonstrate independence and responsibility; those who return having met the requirement show a zeal for scholarship.
