Students should plan to access their lockers before school, once around lunch time/tutorial, and at the end of the day.
Students may carry their backpack with them which will have materials for one half of the day, plus class supplies (pen, pencil, markers, scissors, etc.). We have wide, individual desks, backpacks can easily fit under desks. Rolling backpacks, while allowed, can make navigating the hallways more challenging.

Time to look for… WMS Locks, heart rate monitor straps, calculators for the coming school year. If your 7th or 8th grader needs any replacements, please order and pay for them via PushCoin. They will be able to pick them up at Material Pick Up. Note: If your RedHawk has forgotten their lock combination, we do have a binder in the office where we can look them up. We will need the code on the back of the lock to do so. (Sample Code 1E00001).
#10 PRE-ORDER SCHOOL PHOTOS:
School pictures will be taken at Material Pick Up by Color Portraits. You must pre-order and pay for photo packages in advance at https://ordercp.com/ using the information found on THIS FORM and the School Event CODE #10065301 (also pictured below).
The Color Portraits prepay site closes at Midnight the day of each Picture Day to process the orders. If parents missed prepaying they will have a chance to order pictures with their child's Ticket Code. Ticket Codes will be delivered with the bulk picture package order approximately three weeks post Picture Day.
When placing an order after Picture Day with a Ticket Code a shipping fee will be added on and picture packages will be shipped directly to the home.
Note: If you are unable to attend either Material Pick Up Day, we have a Picture Retake Day scheduled for Monday, August 28th. There will be a different order form and code for that date, which will be publicized in our Friday Forecast prior to retakes.
WMS INCOMING 6TH GRADE FAMILIES
2023 6th Grade WEB Orientation Invitation
We are very excited that your child will be attending Wredling Middle School and we look forward to meeting your student on Orientation Day, Wednesday, August 9th from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Wredling Middle School. As you may know, our school participates in the nationwide WEB Program, an organization whose sole purpose is to help sixth graders feel more comfortable as well as help them achieve success in their first year of middle school.
The WEB sixth grade orientation and transition program is a student-only function and designed to both welcome and support sixth graders. Your student will be assigned an 8th grade WEB Leader as a mentor during this first year. This WEB Leader is a responsible older student who was hand selected from a large pool of applicants and has met the qualifications of being a good role model and a positive leader in our school. Following is some information to let you know what you and your student(s) can expect in advance of their first day of school.
Your student is encouraged not to bring backpacks, purses, or other like items as the day is quite active;
Because the day is active, please make sure that your student wears comfortable clothing and shoes that do not restrict movement;
Cell phone use is forbidden on this day. It is recommended that phones are left at home but if they choose to bring them, they must be set to silent and out of sight. We will not be able to hold student belongings for them, including cell phones. Students are responsible for managing their belongings during orientation;
Please use this LINK to RSVP for this event. Sign up runs through July 19th.
This is a student only function so we encourage you to let your child attend on her or his own. Please feel free, however, to pick up your student promptly at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9 at the close of the Orientation. We look forward to meeting your student on Orientation Day!
Sincerely,
The WEB Coordinators: Becca Campbell, Kirsten Cwinski, Anni Whitaker
