We had lots of caring and empathetic kids around Westwood this week. Next week, we will focus on how we communicate (for younger students) and collaborate (for the older ones).
For morning car line- you will pull all the way forward until all cars are stopped then have your child exit the car. It helps when masks are on before it's time to exit; kids can also get out of the cars holding their masks and get them all situated on the front porch. For safety, students should only exit cars that have pulled forward and are in front of the crosswalk.
If you arrive after 7:45, you must scan the QR code on your car tag or on the front door, complete the sign in form, and call the office to let us know you signed in. We have some K-5 students coming in when PreK has the door open without signing in, and those students have been marked absent by teachers because they are late, and the office uses the sign in list to change those absences to tardies.
Good news- our afternoon car rider line is now finished around 3:20! It took us a while, but we got there. All car riders should be picked up by 3:20; if the line is finished and students have not been picked up, they will go into the office to wait. You will need to use the contactless check out system to sign them out.
Lunch choices- due to issues with food supplies, the district is moving to one lunch choice next week.
Our Slice the Price Domino's pizza fundraiser orders should be turned in Monday. Thanks for helping us raise some money for our school!
