PDTV - Scrible In The Classroom
This course can be completed at any pace, at any time throughout the year. Remember that all UEN courses are free and open to any educator in Utah.
This endorsement program is designed by UEN and approved by the Utah State Board of Education. Credit earned in the program can be used for salary lane changes. Coursework can be applied toward a Master's degree program from Southern Utah University, Utah Valley University, or the University of Utah.
The requirements of the Educational Technology Endorsement Program (ETEP) changed on July 1st, 2023. Participants who began the traditional endorsement before July 1, 2023, will have until June 30, 2025, to complete it.
The Competency-Based Educational Technology Endorsement is divided into four courses. Participants will come away with a portfolio of work that aligns with each competency.
- Foundation of Instructional Design and Pedagogy
- Digital Citizenship and Information Literacy
- Supporting and Developing 21st-Century Learners
- Professional Growth and Leadership
Participants can join the endorsement program at any time. Courses must be taken in order, and all endorsement requirements must be completed within three years.
UEN does not charge educators to participate in the Educational Technology Endorsement. Each course offers either USBE or SUU credit. USBE credit is free, and SUU credit is $23 per credit hour. Each course is three credit hours.
Check out this page for more information about the ETEP program.
