As one of our first events to CELEBRATE the 100th year of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School, we are inviting ALL current and former faculty, staff and administrators of HNCS to join us here at Holy Name Church for 10:30 AM Mass on Sunday, September 18 which is Catechetical Sunday. Following Mass, we will be serving coffee and donuts while we have the opportunity to visit and reminisce. More information will be coming SOON!
PLEASE plan to attend and SHARE this information with anyone you think might not see this post. We'd LOVE to celebrate with those people whose vocation brought them to our school at any time during the last 100 years!
Oktoberfest News!
The Holy Name Catholic School Spirit Stick competition will be announced next Friday! Will the Spirit Stick remain in 4th Grade, or will a new class take the stick?! Stay tuned to Highlights and nightly messages from our teachers for details!
What can you do to support our Oktoberfest efforts most (besides buying a big raffle ticket of course)? Purchase a ticket for the Authentic German Dinner! This dinner is being made and served in-house, so all the profit will be returned to our parish! This delicious meal includes your entree, complimentary adult beverages or tea/water, & dessert. It's been prepared and tested by our parish chefs and KID APPROVED!
The deadline to purchase your German dinner ticket is Sunday, September 18th. You can purchase your individual tickets or a table for eight after each Mass and at the Parish/School Offices. Tickets are required for entry and will not be sold at the door. Don't miss out!
Help us kick off Holy Name's Oktoberfest by donating blood on September 17th! Your life saving gift is a form of stewardship to our community. Please give if you're able and get a FREE drink at Oktoberfest as a thank you!

Another awesome kickball season has come to an end.
3rd/4th- These girls finished their season with a 3-4 record.
5/6 B- Currently a record of 2-3, with their final game this Friday evening. (See picture next week)

Any 2nd or 3rd grad GIRL interested in playing basketball this year, please find the link below to sign up. We host these leagues, so all games will be played on Saturdays at Holy Name!
The deadline to sign up is September 30th. The cost is free for Holy Name students. Games will start on Saturday October 22nd and will run through December 10th. Games will be played on Saturdays with at least 1 practice during the week.

Roncalli welcomes back alumni and friends to a rocking post game Homecoming celebration on Friday, September 16, 2022! Post game party tickets are now available at https://boostmyschool.com/roncalli-homecoming-tent-party for $10.

Roncalli Shadow Program
Roncalli is excited to welcome future Royals to campus for the Royal for a Day Program, and days are already filling up! All shadows will be on an individual basis, with 8 students being able to join us each day. All visits will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Roncalli Lady Royal Youth Basketball
All 3rd – 6th Grade Girls,
Roncalli Lady Royal Youth Basketball will be holding tryouts to assemble 3rd – 6th grade girls basketball teams. If you are interested in an experience that will focus on fundamental development, competitive games and fun we would love to see you.
Roncalli teams will be competing, this year, in the Midwest Youth Tourney (MYT) Leagues for two sessions (fall & winter), the complete dates are listed below for your review. Our goal is to field 2 competitive teams at each grade level for both sessions. Player fees will be $200.

Tryouts will be held at Roncalli High School in the ASV Gymnasium (Main Gym) on the following dates and times:

5th & 6th Grades 7:00 Registration, 7:30 – 9:00 Tryouts

It is recommended for the girls to attend both tryout sessions if possible, but if your schedule only permits one night that is acceptable. Following tryouts, final team selections will be communicated via email.
