Absences, Late Arrivals, Early Pickups and End-of-the-Day Pickups

If your child(ren) will be gone or late, you MUST call the attendance line: 952-758-1405 (24/7, before 8:00 a.m. on the day that they will be gone) or main office line: 952-758-1400 (after 8:00 a.m.) or have your child bring a note to the office in the morning before or on the day you will be gone. If your child will be leaving early, have them bring a note to the office first thing in the morning to get a pass. Thank you!

Dear Families,


We are in the holiday season and we are promoting a mindset of giving and generosity. The G.L.U.E. Crew led an event with each 6th grade advisory where students had to build a "Food Tower." The tallest tower was from Mr. Den Hartog's advisory. All food that was donated by families was delivered to the Peace Center in New Prague, and the weight of the food totaled over 750 lbs.!


We will also be anonymously "sponsoring" families in need at the middle school. See below in the Student and Family Resources section for more information.


We would like to wish all families a happy and safe holiday season!

NPMS Veterans' Day Program

We had a wonderful Veterans' Day Program at NPMS on Friday, November 10! First of all, we'd like to thank all veterans and their families for their service to our country; we owe so much to all of them for their time and sacrifice! We'd also like to thank the following people for making our program so special: the New Prague Veterans Honor Guard, our speaker (Chris Davis), all of the veterans who attended, the NPMS 8th Grade Choir (sang "From Sea to Shining Sea"), the NPMS Band (played "Heroes Triumphant"), NPHS Choir students: Kadyn Anderson, Jena Lawrence and Olivia Phipps (sang our National Anthem: "Star-Spangled Banner"), NPHS Band student: Carley Motz (played "Taps") and the staff and students at New Prague Middle School for being a very respectful audience.

They helped the 6th graders collect 762 lbs. of food for our local food shelf, the Peace Center.

School/Office Closed Over Winter Break

New Prague Area Schools (K-12) will be closed over Winter Break: December 22-January 1 (resume school January 2).

  • 14 - 6th -8th Band Concerts (6th at 6:00, 7th at 7:00 and 8th at 8:00)
  • 15 - Activity Night (2:45-4:45 for 6th grade and 5-7:00 for 7th/8th grade)

Supporting Our Students and Families at NPMS

Hello Families,


As we approach the holiday season, NPMS likes to give back to families in our community who need support to ensure everyone's holiday season is full of joy. Teams and individual staff members have decided to anonymously “sponsor” families at New Prague Middle School for the holiday season. Some teams will be participating in fundraising pancake breakfasts or other fun team activities planned to raise money for this fundraiser. We understand that this time of year can already be financially overwhelming, but we would appreciate any donations that you are able to contribute. We encourage students to earn money to help this cause. Remember that these are families in our community who could really use support.


If you are a family who is in need of some assistance during the holiday/winter season (or anytime during the year), please reach out to one of us who are listed above. We would be happy to help your family if we have the funds to do so.

Infinite Campus Parent Portal

If you are unfamiliar with your Parent Portal and what you have access to, this will show you how to check your child's grades, view attendance, make lunch account payments, pay classroom fees, update contact information and install the Campus Parent Smartphone App.
