Dear Parents:
Thanks so much to our parents for coming out to Curriculum Nights this week. It is always great to hear from our teachers first hand about expectations for the year. I hope you learned a lot and enjoyed your time in classrooms.
I want to thank everyone who spoke to me personally on the K-3 night about my departure from CCES. You all had me in tears and it is way too early for that. I am here each day until September 25th and I plan to savor each and every moment. This has been home for five years, and I want you to know the decision to leave was not an easy one. I look forward to saying my goodbyes at a later date as I am truly not ready to face them just yet!

For our August Employees of the Month we would like to recognize, Kelly Miller and Kimberly Brown. Kelly, a fifth grade teacher, has been instrumental in leading standards mastery work in our school. She is also a new teacher mentor and has stepped up in a big way to support. Kimberly, a first grade teacher, took the lead teacher role for Infinite Campus this summer and was able to come back and train our staff on the new platform. She too is a mentor to a new teacher. We appreciate all both of the ladies do for our school. Please see photo below.
Tonight is a make up football game to be played at Milton. The Eagles take on Buford at the Eagles Nest. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend as I am headed to SC to see Clemson hopefully beat Texas A&M. You all may or may not know that Mr. Peterson (NMS) is an Aggie fan so possibly we will run into one another. I hope you all enjoy your weekend.
