Principal's Message
Happy Friday Cougar Families!
It has been an exciting week on campus inside and outside the classroom. Grades close today for the quarter three progress reports so the energy inside the classroom has been noticeably more focused. Outside the classroom we are coming to the end of a highly successful winter sports season. We are Grossmont League Champions in Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Boys Soccer, and Girls Water Polo. Our Competitive Cheer team are CIF Champions in the Co-Ed division and our Girls Wrestling team are CIF Runners Up. Congratulations and thank you to all of our winter athletes, coaches, and parents for supporting our teams.
We also hosted our annual Open House last night (2/9/23). Open house is for our future cougars and marks the first official Steele Canyon experience for many families and students. Hundreds of families were on campus taking student-led tours and learning about the practices and programs that make Steele Canyon the best place to learn and work in the county. We are expecting a full ninth grade class so please be sure to remind your friends and family that all new students must submit an Intent to Enroll Online Application to be entered into our lottery. The lottery takes place on February 24 and we will notify all families of their enrollment status by email that afternoon.
It is wonderful to be a Cougar and we are looking forward to welcoming the class of 2027 in the coming weeks and months!
Have an awesome 3 day weekend!
Rah! Rah! Cougars!
