The Great Shakeout
This Thursday, October 19 our school (and entire district) will be participating in The Great Shakeout from 10:15-11:15. During this time we will practice the steps taken if we were to incur a major earthquake. Students will learn how to duck, cover, and hold and how to evacuate the building safely. Our staff will also be working on saving techniques in the event of a real earthquake. The drill should last about an hour. During this time the office will be closed since all staff will be on the playground working on this scenario. If you need to pick up/drop off your child during this time, please head over to the Keystone Gate and be patient as we have a lot to cover during this time.

Trunk or Treat is coming soon!
This is a time for you and your family to gather on the blacktop and get treats from each classroom's themed car trunk! Just a reminder that you should carefully monitor the treats you child receives and keep your eyes on your child at all times. While this event is sponsored by the PTA, it is each family's responsibility to monitor their child during this time. Let's help one another to keep safe!
Fun Aerial Show November 18 at Luther Middle School
One of our parents is an aerial performer and will be putting on a family show with others to demonstrate the art of flying and spinning through the air. Early bird prices are available until October 31 for this event at Luther Middle School. The event is on Nov. 18 at 5:00 p.m. and should last about 1 hour. We hope you can attend this awesome event. Proceeds from this will be shared with Luther and Edison Elementary. It's a win/win for all!
