TOWN HALL MEETING
Event is Oct. 10 at the Ozark Innovation Center
You are invited to join Ozark School District's Board of Education for a community Town Hall on Oct. 10!
Each question must be in written form and turned into the moderator before reading. Questions could also be submitted in advance on this Google form.
The moderator will read the question to ensure it does not violate the following rules:
- Questions must not name employees or individuals.
- Questions must not concern personnel matters.
- Questions cannot be about or even mention personal information about board members or employees.
Each Town Hall participant may ask one question. If there are no other questions from the participants, an individual may ask another question.
Each question will be no longer than 2 minutes with each response limited to 3 minutes. This allows time for everyone in attendance to participate and have the opportunity to ask a question.
SAFETY GRANT
Ozark Receives $300,000 Safety Grant
Ozark School District will soon have added safety measures in the hallways and on buses to keep students and staff safe after receiving $300,000 through the state’s School Safety Grant Program.
“We are thankful and excited to be chosen as one of the recipients of the 2024 School Safety Grant,” said Ozark Executive Director of Student Services Kim FItzpatrick. “These funds will allow us to upgrade our video surveillance and install GPS systems in all our school buses and school vehicles. Funding will also allow the purchase of new emergency handheld radios for building administrators to communicate quickly in emergency situations, along with some other safety upgrades in buildings.”

What Does a Judge Do?
Christian County Presiding Circuit Judge Laura Johnson and Circuit Judge Jessica Kruse visited third graders at East and North elementary schools this week to explain the job of a judge and their role in the judicial system. Students have been learning all about the three branches of Missouri’s government and this was a wonderful way to see a real world example of this in action.
North students also surprised the judges with a birthday banner and sang "Happy Birthday," as both judges celebrated birthdays this week.
Thank you so much, judges, for taking time to teach students about the court system.
