Premier Animal Science Events (PASE) is a two-day event designed to help youth learn about issues related to the animal industry, explore career opportunities that are available, compete with other teens from across the state, and have FUN! The Nebraska State Fair is seeking to showcase the innovation and creativity of Nebraska 4-H and FFA youth who are committed to making a difference in the area of sustainability. You are invited to bring your environmental presentation, activity, or exhibit to the 2021 Nebraska State Fair. (NSF) Sustainability Pavilion. The Pavilion includes a covered Activities Tent, stage, and Outdoor Exhibition Area. The Pavilion is located in the outdoor Market Place. The Nebraska 4-H Online Insect Identification Contest provides an opportunity for participants to put their entomological knowledge to the test. The contest consists of insect identification and multiple-choice questions. Participants will gain knowledge about insects and entomology through this competition.

The contest is open to all youth, as well as adults. Youth do not need to be enrolled 4-H members to participate. The contest will be available from Friday, June 4th through Monday, June 21st, 2021.

3D Modeling via Zoom

Youth must be at least 8 years old to participate.

Learn how a 3D printer works & create your own 3D printed design. Within this workshop, you will create an account and use free online software to learn basic computer aided design. Upon completion of your 3D model, you may email the instructor your file and the 3D print will be mailed to you at a later date. Offer is limited to residents of the continental United States and one 1-hr print per registered participant.

Need a refresher? Just want to learn about horses? Need your level testing done? We have a great opportunity for you! We have a CERTIFIED EXAMINER coming to us! Fair participants must pass Horsemanship Level I, Ranch Riding participants must pass Level II by July 15th to participate in the Cass County Fair. Horse Level testing must be completed by a certified examiner. The Horsemanship Advancement Levels program is designed to serve as a guide for instruction and evaluation of each 4-H member's progress. Training and testing date is June 18, 2021 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Cass County Fairgrounds. Register HERE

Trail Class will be run at the southeast corner of the main arena concurrent with the arena classes. Patterns will be given at registration in the morning. No one will be allowed on the course to practice before the class starts.

A 4-H Horse Camp that will take place on June 10-12 at Fort Robinson State Park in Crawford, NE. All individuals, ages eight and older, are welcome to attend with activities for junior, intermediate, and senior / adult. The 4-H code of conduct will be in effect but membership is not mandatory. The State 4-H Horse Program would like to notify counties and their 4-H families to book their hotel reservations soon if they plan to attend/participate at the 2021 Fonner Park 4-H State Horse Expo. This year the Horse Expo (July 10th - 14th) is scheduled on the same dates as the National Jr. Angus Show. Since both events are happening at the same time, we HIGHLY recommend families are notified about the limited hotel availability during the state horse show.
