Toning for Peace
From Annelies & Conduit for Change, LLC
Annelies M. Gentile, MA, PCC :: Integrative Life & Leadership Coach . Creative Consultant . Retreat Facilitator . Process Artist . Published Author . Conference Speaker . Spiritual Counselor
Peace is a practice that begins within. Having a few "new" ancient tools to be peaceful helps. The idea of Toning for Peace is to be present with others through sound. No words, no creed, no mantras. Just sustained humming. When we hum together, in unison, it's called toning. We find each other through sound cultivating peace as a collective.
THINK: singing sound meditation. We'll hum starting from a low frequency to as high as we can sing, slowly slowly with others, over 30 min or up to an hour.
Here's the science. Toning can help reset our nervous system. Sustained sound stimulates the vagus nerve, the hub of our entire nervous system. Like a trunk of a tree, it's the thing from which all nerves branch out. Toning is a meditation you can do anywhere at anytime, vacuuming, driving, doing laundry, walking, checking emails or even to help you fall asleep, making toning is an easy accessible peace practice.
Whether you are a leader leading teams, dreams or ideas into the future or navigating the crevasse of uncertainty, the stress of change can have extensive hidden consequences. Improve focus, creativity, wellbeing and sense of peace for you and beyond.
Join us for a unique approach to peace using sound through toning. If you can't join us in-person, join us in spirit. Everything is connected. Hummmmmmm.... Details below.
Beautiful geometry is revealed through sound.
We'll sit facing one another.
The physics of sound upon matter is called "cymatics".
