What a great week for learning!
Language Arts: We have been learning our long vowel sounds. We sorted the sounds and played games with the sounds. The students have been reading short vowel words and long vowel words. For next week, we will continue to focus on blending sounds together to read cvc words and words with silent e as well as introduce words vowel pairs such as double ee and ow.
Math: The students are learning how to tell time by the hour. We made our own clocks and are learning how to identify the big hand and little hand. In first grade we are learning how to add to digit numbers without regrouping and having fun with our Math!!!
With our filed grade buddies, we cleaned up the yard. The students wore
gloves and went on a trash hunt to clean up garbage around the school.
This week, we celebrated to wonderful birthdays!!! On the same day!!! We had a great party.
Thank you to our parents for sharing food and goodie bags with us. We would also like to thank our parents for providing snack foods for our classroom! You are amazing!!!
