Kindergarten Eligibility
All children enrolling in kindergarten must be five years old on or before September 1st of the school year in which the child enrolls.
Required Forms & Documentation for Kindergarten
The following forms and documentation are required to enroll an elementary student in the Boise School District. Parents/ guardians have 30 days in which to provide any missing documentation to the student's school. Any documentation that is presented will be photocopied and originals will be returned immediately.
A certified birth certificate
A record of the student’s immunizations or an immunization exemption
Enrollment Form, Health History Form, Home Language Survey Form, Parent Employment Survey Form, 1 to 1 Device Agreement Form, & Verification of Residency Form.
Proof of residence
If divorced, a copy of the divorce decree and custody agreement or any papers pertaining to current legal proceedings.
If you are a custodial guardian, you will need a "Power of Attorney" document, which must be renewed every six months.
Full Day Kindergarten Registration Checklist
Complete the following steps to enroll your child online:
- Register your Kinder student online: All students must first be registered through our general enrollment process. Please note, the 24 /25 online enrollment will open early February.
- Be sure you have the following forms either a) uploaded to Infinite Campus (in Step 1) or b) Gathered to submit to the school registrar at in-person registration:
- Birth Certificate
- Immunization Record
- Proof of Residency
- Final Step! Take your new Kindergarten Student on February 29, 2024 from 3:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to your assigned homeschool for Kindergarten Registration/Open House to complete registration.
