The School Nutrition Team would like to celebrate and congratulate our graduating seniors by offering a special meal to help kick off this milestone in your lives! We wish you all the best! The Senior Luncheon will be held on Friday, May 24, during all lunches.

Your special lunch will be: A grilled 4 oz steak, sauteed mushrooms, baked potato, green beans or roasted broccoli, strawberry shortcake and blueberry smash lemonade. (Milk will be available as well)

Cost: Free if you preorder by 5/10!

On February 5, 2024, all seniors will meet in the auditorium to discuss all things pertaining to graduation. This includes graduation requirements, obligations, important dates, and the 2024 Graduation packet, which is linked below. Please take time to review everything in the document.

The date for the Class of 2024's graduation ceremony has been tentatively set for Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 9:00 AM. It will be held at the Dover Area School District Stadium. Each graduate will be given ten (10) tickets for the stadium ceremony and two (2) tickets in the case of an indoors ceremony, which would be held in the gymnasium of Dover Area High School.

Seating for the event will be on a first come first served basis. The past practice of reserving seats on the field for the top 10% of the class was discontinued at the end of 2021. Our belief is that all students and families should be treated in a fair and equitable manner. Graduation is a momentous occasion for all students and families regardless of their class rank.

As a reminder, all students must meet the requirements of the new state graduation requirements under Act 158. Counselors and administration will be working with students and their families to ensure students are able to meet the requirements. An email will come out to families in September indicating if they have or have not met the state requirements. Please refer to the graphic below for a better understanding of the graduation requirements. Remember, these requirements are on top of Dover's requirements of 24 credits (in specific classes), 10 hours of community service, and a senior project.

Earlier this year, counselors met with the senior class to review graduation requirements that seniors need to complete this year - senior project, community service, Act 158 and credit requirements. Senior project is due in Schoology by May 1. Examples were given on types of evidence of career planning that can be submitted in Schoology. The resources that are provided on the Schoology page were also highlighted - college visits to the guidance office, transcript request form, scholarships, scheduling appointments with counselors, etc.
